James Lewis - Lead Software Engineer
James Lewis received his degree in Mathematics from UCLA with a Specialization in Computing. He has worked on various projects including SBIRs for USAF and STTRs for NASA. On top of this, he has worked on multiple SmallSat missions for HSFL (HiakaSat & NASA HyTI) as a Flight Software Engineer. He is currently working as Lead Software Engineer for Interstel™ where he has designed and implemented many of the aspects of COSMOS’ multi-agent system software. In his free time, he likes reading, writing, and making interesting things.

Scott Ginoza - Software Tools Lead
Scott Ginoza graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and has had a degree of interest in space. He has been involved in various space projects as a Junior developer using COSMOS at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa since 2020. Currently, he works as Interstel™’s Software Tools Lead. His musical tastes include classical, jazz, and various electronic genres. He drinks coffee black.

Lynzee Hoegger - Software Engineer
Lynzee Hoegger received her Bachelor’s in Astronomy from UH Mānoa and is now a graduate student of the University of Colorado’s Aerospace Engineering Sciences Program. She began her research as a NASA Space Grant recipient in 2020. Following this research, she was selected as an Akamai intern where she worked for the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST). She is now working part-time as a Software Engineer for Interstel, focusing on the iCOSMOS-Swarm™ tools. She holds dual US and UK citizenship.

Maya Chang - Programming Intern
Maya Chang is an undergraduate B.S. Computer Science student at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. She has worked as a student tech assistant for the Center for Chinese Language Education at UH and is currently one of the student mentors for the UH Mānoa RIO, ICSpark, teaching HTML, CSS and JavaScript to 6-12th graders. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and cooking. She also enjoys traveling and hopes to be able to travel around Europe in the future.

Kara Kanetis - Programming Intern
Kara Kanetis is a junior pursuing a B.S in Astrophysics and a B.A in Computer Science. She is currently the Chair of the Student Activity and Program Fee Board at UH Manoa and works on smaller research based python coding projects as a hobby. Prior to Interstel, she worked at the Orange Coast College Planetarium developing shows to educate the public on various astronomy subjects. In her free time she enjoys surfing, hiking, and designing 3D models.

Jordan Calantoc - Programming Intern
Jordan Calantoc graduated with a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii (UH) at Mānoa in December 2024. He has previously worked as a Teaching Assistant at UH, assisting students in learning Java programming. Jordan developed a deep interest in cybersecurity through Grey Hats at Mānoa and continues to grow his expertise in the field. He is currently pursuing additional certifications to further his knowledge and skills. Jordan is now a Junior Advisor for the International Student Association (ISA) at Mānoa, where he supports and mentors the current executive board in organizing social and cultural events. His hobbies include exploring new dining spots, listening to various genres of music, and expanding his social network by connecting with others.

Evan Kawasaki - Programming Intern
Evan Kawasaki is a junior at Assets High School interning at Interstel Technologies as a 3D modeler in UH Manoa Innovation Center. Before Interstel, he worked at Hawaii Space Flight Laboratory. He learned how to test certain parts of the cube satellites and run orbit simulations. He is interested in studying game design, programing, art, and or science in the future. Has an interest in astronomy, art, science, and game design. He was inspired by his friends many of them being artist, one being a 3D modeler, and two being programmers. Enjoys drawing, 3D modeling, playing video games, sharing ideas with his friends, and traveling.

John Holt - Programming Intern
John Holt is an undergraduate student at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, majoring in Computer Science. Passionate about software development, he enjoys exploring new technologies and collaborating on projects that solve real-world problems. Born and raised in California, John combines his technical skills with a creative mindset to develop impactful solutions. In his free time, he enjoys playing games and spending time with friends.

Tung Nguyen - Programming Intern
Tung Nguyen is an undergraduate at the University of Hawaii at Manoa pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Tung was born in Ninh Hoa, Vietnam, and moved to Hawaii at the age of 10. After moving to Hawaii, he worked on programming different algorithms. One of which is simulating protein modeling. Prior to Interstel, Tung was a research assistant. Tung enjoys reading and playing video games.

Isaiah Dela Cruz - Programming Intern
Isaiah is an undergraduate student at UH Manoa pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He is passionate about software development and seeks to become a part of a development team for either video games or tech. His interests have always been in game design along with the art and music production within the games. It inspires Isaiah to create something as moving as the games he has played as a child. During Isaiah’s free time, he enjoys playing video games, spending time with his fiancée and listening to music.

Raphael Rios - Programming Intern
Raphael Rios is an undergraduate student attending Leeward Community College. He plans to get his Bachelors in Information & Computer Science at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He enjoys learning new things about computer Science and is eager to be able to use that knowledge in the real world. He is interested in technology and video game development. Born on Oahu, Raphael spends his free time playing video games and learning about music.

Carter Suen - Business Development Intern / Webmaster
Carter Suen is an alumni at University of Hawaii at Mānoa with a double major in Management Information Systems and Management. Carter is interested in learning more about cybersecurity and seeking opportunities to connect alongside students and professionals around the world. He has a certification for COMPTIA security+ and is currently studying for the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate and other certifications to get more hands-on experience. One fun fact about Carter is that he is and raised in Oahu but spent 3 semesters studying abroad in Korea as an exchange student during 2022-2023. In his free time, Carter enjoys staying at home or eating good food with friends.

Adrian Abcede - Business Development Intern
Adrian Abcede is an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM), pursuing his bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Marketing, Management, and Human Resources with a minor in Communicology. He is a member of the leadership team for the UHM Rainbow Warrior Marching Band and serves the Katipunan Club at UHM as the treasurer. He also served as a Manoa Peer Advisor for the Information and Computer Science department. Through these opportunities, he has reached out to countless students and community members to help plan events, coordinate outreach in teams of varying skill sets, lead peers, and help recruit for all three of these organizations. He plans on gathering as much professional experience as possible before his graduation and entrance to the workforce. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing video games, going outside, listening to or making music, and karaoke.

Samantha Guinto - Business Development Intern
Samantha Guinto is an undergraduate student at University of Hawai’i at Manoa pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management Information Systems. As a Direct Admit Program student at the Shidler College of Business, she’s currently on the Dean’s List and has received multiple scholarships including the Clifford and Blanche Hee Scholarship in Honor of Thomas and Michael Hee. Samantha is also an active member of Delta Sigma Pi and is serving as the Vice President of Community Service in the Spring 2025 semester. In her free time, she enjoys baking, making leis, and exploring new cafes.

Kimberly McMoore - Business Development Intern
Kimberly McMoore is an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, double majoring in Management Information Systems and International Business. She currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Information Technology Management Association (ITMA), a business club at the Shidler College of Business. In this role, Kimberly is responsible for planning professional events, and fostering communication among members and external partners. Kimberly’s dedication to excellence is reflected in her academic achievements, including being named to the Dean’s List. Outside of her academic and leadership pursuits, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, reading, and watching movies.

Dylan Chen - Business Development Intern
Dylan Chen is an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, majoring in Management Information Systems at the Shidler College of Business, where he has earned a place on the Dean’s List. As an active member of the Information Technology Management Association (ITMA) and Delta Sigma Pi (DSP), Dylan engages with fellow students and professionals in the business and IT fields. With a keen interest in cybersecurity, data analytics, and IT, he is continuously seeking opportunities to expand his skills and knowledge. Outside of academics, Dylan enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, gaming, and spending time with friends.

Camille Downey - Business Development Intern
Camille Downey is an undergraduate at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, pursuing a bachelor's degree in International Business, Marketing, Human Resources, and Management. As a Shidler College of Business Direct Admittance Program student, she has been chosen as a Direct Admittance Program Mentor, and participant in Shidler's Transformational Acceleration Program. Camille is an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, a national business fraternity committed to professional development, community service, brotherhood, and scholarship. Camille is a Resident Assistant for University of Hawai'i at Manoa, and a debate coach for Northland Christian School in Texas.
