iCOSMOS™ Tools
MOST (Mission Operations Support Tool)
MOST is the primary visualization tool of iCOSMOS™ and is designed specifically for supporting real-time operations, including commanding. However, MOST can also seamlessly access archived data and extrapolate future data, which allows it to support spacecraft and payload monitor and control; mission planning; simulations and rehearsals; trending and analysis; and anomaly resolution.
MPST (Mission Planning and Scheduling Tool)
The goal of the Mission Planning and Scheduling Tool (MPST) is to create and manage optimized mission plans, schedules and timelines, and command scripts and flat files sent to the satellite(s) and ground stations. The MPST converts mission status and tasking inputs into executable command loads or sequences, schedules, timelines, and resource consumption. The MPST provides a top-level interface to the mission planner (user). [Under Development]
CEO (iCOSMOS Executive Operator)
iCOSMOS Executive Operator (CEO) provides the situational awareness and control of the overall system of systems. CEO can also launch any of the iCOSMOS tools, such as the MPST, MOST, GSCT, DMT, and analysis tools. It is a “Tool of Tools'' which provides a more universal approach to the various Nodes in the system.
DMT (Data Management Tool)
Data Management Tool (DMT) manages the data flow and archival, satellite definition and telemetry databases, command dictionary, and generates the node configuration files. The DMT allows monitoring and control of the Data Management Agent (DMA), as well as adding additional features for analyzing data storage and flow.
TBCT (Test Bed Controller Tool)
The TBCT is an application to support the experiment set up for the OTB (Operations Test Bed) architecture. The TBCT interfaces with the GSS (Ground Station Simulator), the satellite system, the Test Bed Engine, and the end user. It allows initializing and controlling the satellite system platform and the Test Bed Engine according to the user decisions or scripting.
FDT (Flight Dynamics Tool)
Flight Dynamics Tool (FDT) provides the flight dynamics libraries for simulation of complex orbital and attitude dynamics of a satellite, or a number of satellites. The FDT also provides 3D graphic interfaces for realistic visualization of motion physics and works in coordination with the other iCOSMOS tools.
GSCT (Ground Segment Control Tool)
GSCT acts as the graphical interface to the ground station network. [Under Development]
MDT (Mission Design Tool)
The Mission Design Tool (MDT) enables the user to simulate different orbits and trajectories as well as plan for resource management during the mission. This tool will feed into the Mission Planning and Scheduling Tool (MPST). [Under Development]
